Having spent years in Human Resources and thus having to read many business books, I wasn't eager to read another one. That said, this is one of the best, and easiest to read business books! The chapter headings clarify what you're discovering as you work your way through. The engaging writing is well thought out and prompts you, as a business owner, to truly consider writing a book and reveals the pros of doing so.I particularly enjoyed the stories from entrepreneurs who have written books and how it changed things for them. It's extremely encouraging.
The middle of the book contains a section about calculating the Return On Investment (ROI) of writing a book. There are a series of questions you answer that will give you a solid outlook on taking the time and making the investment to write a book. My copy is dog-eared and full of notes in the margins. I'm not a business owner, but am considering writing a travel book and there's input here to help me.

This book provides very practical and logical information around writing a book. Solid advice is offered on thinking through the reasons that a book might be important to both you and to your business. The short case studies provided help illustrate how writing a book can be achieved and how goals related to a book endeavor can be accomplished with effort that is properly focused. What's of great appeal in this read is the concise delivery, along with a coaching like conversation between author and reader. Got to go now....I'm writing my book...
I heard Ms. Budzowski speak at a conference recently and was impressed with her inspiring knowledge both of the writing process and her insights on how to position yourself as an expert within your field through publishing. I purchased her book and read it in 2 days.
What a fabulous book for anyone who is intimidated by the book writing process. I walked away with confidence, clarity and optimism. Thank you, Bonnie, for the positive message and concrete and empowering advice in this fabulous little book.

The book is worth reading because it's short, to the point and loaded with case studies of how business owners used a book to expand their business/service/mission. I especially appreciated the bonus content including clear tips to moving forward with your book project. An unexpected bonus was the final section, "Keys to Writing..." The tip about "Communicate With Movement in Mind." Really challenged me to think beyond what topics or info my targets want to what CHANGE they need and how things could be DIFFERENT if they read my book. As a self-published author, this book is going to help me take my writing to another level.

This is definitely a "Can Do" marketing book. In addition, it is a workbook that makes you think, plan, and work towards creating your book.
